Epicurean serves up a second course with a significant expansion.
Building on the Epicurean Hotel’s success as a gathering place for foodies, connoisseurs, and culinary explorers from around the world, the Owners of this renowned destination, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, have served up a $21 million expansion. Located across Howard Avenue from the main hotel, the expansion includes 51 new guest rooms and suites, a private lobby, meeting space, and a rooftop terrace.
While the overall palette and character of the guestrooms and public areas are complementary with the main hotel, the expansion has provided an opportunity for innovation and refinement. Public areas feature a welcoming contrast of warm woods with cool concrete and stainless steel. A feature artwork installation created with wine and champagne corks, and a contemporary chandelier composed of up-cycled liquor bottles greet arriving guests in the lobby and mark the beginning of their culinary journey. The flavor continues into the guestrooms, where the tasting table, butcher block countertops, and soft neutral palette inspired by the earth and its bounty invite guests to open a bottle of wine and relax. Improved technology as well as updated furnishings, finishes, and artwork, enhance the overall guest experience, and ensure that the second course is even better than the first. With this addition, the Epicurean Hotel increased its key count to 188 rooms.
