Taking a step back to think bigger.
Everglades has been building world renowned offshore fishing boats for more than 20 years. All manufacturing takes place in Edgewater, Florida on two separate campuses (East and West) which, over time, have undergone various expansions based on immediate needs. But as business continues to grow, the company is now taking a step back to think bigger.
We have been working with Everglades Boats on a master plan to increase production of their award-winning center console fishing boats. Both East and West Campuses, 23 acres in total, require consolidation to maximize space and create efficiencies in production and streamline flow, while enabling staff to communicate and collaborate more. A new 100,000 square foot assembly building and a second 92,000 square foot lamination building will be added on the East Campus providing the additional space needed to increase production of their current line of boats, which range from 23 to 45 feet and will allow them to build new boats as large as 55 feet in the future. This size boat requires larger cranes and a clear space of 30 feet under the hoist system. This project is currently in the master planning phase with completion of Phase 1 East Campus expansion in 2024. The restructuring of their campuses and enhanced production capacity will help Everglades Boats meet product demand for their dealer network and give the company plenty of room for continued growth.
